Ruben Ordoñez, an active-duty Marine Corps Aviation Maintenance specialist, embarked on an inspiring academic journey with the vital support of the Patriot Empowerment Institute. Ruben’s journey led him to Columbia University, where he pursued a degree in history and African-American Studies, demonstrating his passion for learning and expanding his horizons. With his eye on the future, Ruben aspires to earn a military occupational specialty as either an Armor Officer or Artillery Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, combining his unique blend of military and academic expertise. Furthermore, he harbors ambitions to pursue a PhD and eventually take up a professorship, where he can continue to share his knowledge and passion for social science. Ruben’s story serves as a shining example of dedication and the extraordinary potential of individuals with a commitment to both education and military service.
